Women in Business Community Network is a national community organization of women who are either professional and/or engaged in business units. The organization has a common purpose of promoting the welfare of women to pursue business opportunities and to empower like minded women who really care for each and every one. Women in Business Network was formed to enable women speak with one voice on matters affecting their interests or those that are a hindrance to their professional and business growth. Our mandate stems from financial inclusivity,Market linkages, Mentorship, Networking and Partnerships, Policy & Advocacy. As a network, we have representation in all the six (8) regional economic blocs in Kenya. Women in business community network is a one stop shop for female entrepreneurs in kenya.Our goal is to empower communities and eradicate poverty.with a membership of 1.2 million members across the country,we engage and aspire to achieve issues around challenges on women enterprises.
Am pleased to announce you that Women in Business was recognized by the President of Kenya H.E Uhuru Kenyatta th during his speech on the 25 of April, 2020 as one of the outstanding organizations in the delivery of service in the fight against covid-19. WIB President and CEO,Ms. Mary Muthoni was conferred the inaugural Order of Service, Uzalendo Award, th by His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta, during 57 Madaraka Day for leading business women in the distribution of sanitizers to low income markets, matatu and boda boda operators ensuring these high contact groups did not become active spreaders. She was also awarded 2017 Devolution Warrior Award by Council of Governors for promoting women empowerment in delivery of public service
